This edge of the Edwards Plateau was represented in Congress for 32 years by O.C. Fisher, known as “Mr. State’s Rights.” Relics of his political life and writings are in the Kimble County Library at the O.C. Fisher Museum, a duplicate of his Washington D.C. office. One historic photo shows Fisher on Amistad Dam, authorized by his legislation. The museum is housed in the Kimble County Library. The library hosts internet accessable computers and a wireless connection. Temporary library cards are available for visitors.
