Comstock: Upper Canyon Guided Hike

Upper Canyon Guided Hike, Nov. 22, 8:30 a.nm. - 12 noon, at Seminole Canyon State Park & Historic Site. Back-country, two-mile and up to a four hour hike into the upper area of Seminole Canyon. This hike includes visits to prehistoric rock art sites, historical railroad sites, and the U.S Detachment of the Seminole Negro Indian Scout campsite. Participants must be able to hike, clamber and climb over loose material, large boulders, rough uneven ground and dense vegetation. Meet at Park Headquarters/museum. Tour fees: $12.00 per person, cash or check (make payable to Rock Art Foundation) Park entry fee: $3.00 per person. Limited to 25 experienced hikers, minimum of 5. Reservation required (and for more information), call (432) 292-4464, taken 30 days in advance and ends on the Wednesday before the tour date departure. Please only sign up your family members. Participants under the age 18 must be accompanied by adult. Not suitable for young children (no strollers). Participants bring their own water, lunch/snacks and gear. No pets, guns, drugs/alcohol allowed. Tours are subject to cancellation due to weather conditions. It is recommended to call the park prior to your trip to confirm tour.
