Comstock: Upper Canyon Guided Hike

Upper Canyon Guided Hike, Oct. 18, 8:30 a.m. - 12 noon, at Seminole Canyon State Park & Historic Site, Comstock TX. Back-country, two-mile, and up to a four hour hike, which includes visits to prehistoric rock art sites, historical railroad sites, and the U.S. Army's Detachment of the Seminole Negro Indian Scout campsite. Meet at Park Headquarters building and museum. Leaves at 8:15 Tour fee: $12:00 cash or check (payable to Rock Art Foundation). Park entry fee: $3.00 per person. Reservations required: begins 30 days before and ends on the Wednesday before the tour departure date. Call the park at (432) 292-4464. Participants must be able to hike, clamber and climb over large boulders, rough uneven ground and dense vegetation. Please only sign up family members. Not suitable for young children (no strollers). Tours are subject to cancellation due to weather conditions. It is recommended to call the park prior to your trip to conform tour. No pets, guns, drugs/alcohol allowed.
