Comstock: Presa Canyon Guided Hike

Presa Canyon Guided Hike, Jan 23, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., at Seminole Canyon State Park & Historic Site, near Comstock TX. Back-country hike to secluded areas of the park's canyons. This is a guided hike that takes the visitor to several rock art sites with a variety of prehistoric rock art styles. it is a seven mile, up to an eight hours hike and the participants must be able to hike, clamber and climb over loose material, large boulders, rough uneven ground and through dense vegetation to traverse this canyon. Participants must provide their own water, lunch/snacks and gear. Meet at Park Headquarters (museum). Tour leaves: promptly at 8:15 am. Limited to: 25 experienced hikers, minimum of four. Reservation required: taken 30 days before and ends the Wednesday before the tour date. Call: (432) 292-4464, when calling please only sign up family members. Participants under he age 18 must be accompanied by adult. Not recommended for small children. Tour fee: $25.00 per person, cash or check (payable-Rock Art Foundation) Park entry fee: $3.00 per person. No pets, strollers, guns, drugs/alcohol allowed.
