Comstock: Presa Canyon Guided Hike

Presa Canyon Guided Hike, Nov. 21, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., at Seminole Canyon State Park & Historic Site, Comstock TX. Back-country hike to secluded areas of the park's canyons. The visitor will be guided to several rock art sites that show a variety of prehistoric pictographs. This is a seven mile, up to an eight hour hike and participants must be able to hike, clamber and climb over loose materials, large boulders, rough uneven ground and dense vegetation to traverse this canyon. Limited to 25 experienced hikers, minimum of 5. Reservations required (and for more information), call (432) 292-4464, taken 30 days before and ends on the Wednesday before the tour date. Please only sign up your family members. Participants under the age 18 must be accompanied by adult. Not suitable for young children (no strollers). Participants bring their own water, lunch/snacks and gear. Tour fee: $25.00 per person (cash or check only-make payable to Rock Art Foundation) plus Park entry fee: $3.00 per person. No pets, guns, drugs/alcohol. Tours are subject to cancellation due to weather conditions. It is recommended to call the park prior to your trip to confirm tour.
