Comstock: Presa Canyon Guided Hike

Presa Canyon Guided Hike, Oct. 17, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Seminole Canyon State Park & Historic Site, Comstock TX. Back-country hike to secluded areas of the park's canyons. This guided hike takes the visitor to several rock art sites with a variety of prehistoric rock art styles. It is a seven-mile, up to eight hours hike and the participant must be able to hike, clamber and climb over loose material, large boulders, rough uneven ground, and dense vegetation to traverse this canyon. Participants must provide your own water, lunch/snacks and gear. Meet at Park Headquarters Building (museum). Tour leaves promptly at 8:15 am. Limited to: 25 experienced hikers, minimum of four. Reservations required: taken 30 days before and ends the Wednesday before the tour date. Call: (432) 292-4464, when calling please only sign up family members. Participants under the age 18 must be accompanied by adult. Not recommended for small children. Tour fee: $25.00 per person, cash or check (payable-Rock Art Foundation).
