Comstock: Mountain Bike with a Ranger

Mountain Bike with a Ranger, Oct. 10 & 11, at Seminole Canyon State Park & Historic Site, Comstock TX. Join up with the park ranger and enjoy a mountain bike ride on the easy Rio Grande Trail. Directions: From Headquarters Building go toward the campground, as the road starts to wind to the right and go uphill, veer left to the trailhead. Park and go to the kiask (information board). Start time: 9:30 am Finish time: 11:30 am. Length: 6 miles round trip, Rio Grande trail is an old ranch two track road. Difficulty level: beginner  There will be stops along the way for moments to look and learn about the park's natural and cultural resources. At anytime you feel uncomfortable during the ride, you  always have the option to walk with your bike. Bring: your functional mountain bike, cycling helmet, gloves, eye protection, comfy clothes, hydration pack/watre. Due to the remoteness: bring bike tire flat repair materials, air pump, extra water.
