Midland: Great Outdoors Expo

Great Outdoors Expo, June 12-14, in Midland TX at the Midland County Horseshoe Pavilion (2514 Arena Trail). Opportunity to browse and purchase new products and services that cater to camping, RV, boating, fishing, hunting, hiking, and other outdoor adventures. Exhibitors returning this year include Jason Reynolds’ “Fetch N Fish” tub, the High Flying Retriever Dog Show, fishing demonstrations, and a hunting seminar. Texas Jr. Anglers is bringing in a fishing tank for the kids to catch live fish. Texas Parks & Wildlife’s “Wall of Shame” will also be on view. A new display this year is the W.O.W., display of World’s Outstanding Whitetails. Booths are also outside between the Pavilion and the Education Building just west of the Pavilion. On Sunday, the grand prize drawing will be a fishing trip to Alaska, donated by Glacier Bay Eagles Nest Lodge. Show dates: Friday 3 to 8 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission:  $9 for adults, $7 seniors age 62 and older, and $5 children ages five to 15 (on Friday children ages fifteen and under will receive free admission, and on Sunday, seniors get a special $5 admission).
